Hey there, lovely readers!

Iris Applewood here, back from an exciting and utterly exhausting trip to the Imaginarium convention in Louisville!

If you ever doubted the power of a writer’s community, let me tell you—it’s real, and it’s magical. I had a blast hobnobbing with fellow authors, chatting with new readers, and selling books like a madwoman.

The big news? I’ve officially hit the milestone of 100 book sales! 🎉

And in a stroke of perfect timing, I got to meet my 100th customer in person and hand her a signed copy of Keeper of Lost Loves.

Note to self: Always get the photo. Always.

And I got some new books to read!

Coming soon to New Albany, Indiana...and to Serenity Falls.

While I was off gallivanting in Louisville, my perfume shop in downtown New Albany, Indiana, was coming along nicely. We’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of a custom bar where customers can pull up a stool, sniff to their heart’s content, and even mix their own fragrances. Or have a custom blend made by a trained perfume bartender!

This little venture is a passion project that ties directly into my writing. Speaking of which, I’m knee-deep in the second Serenity Falls novel.

In Fragrance of Forgotten Truths, Anna Attar loses her high-powered corporate job and retreats to her quaint hometown for some soul-searching. Then she and her sister Emilia (a DoorDash addict and true crime fanatic) discover their grandmother’s scent organ in the attic.

Anna starts mixing perfumes, only to realize they have magical effects—think mood-lifting, memory-evoking, and intuition-enhancing scents.

Anna and Emilia’s journey takes a turn when a memory perfume brings them face-to-face with a century-old scandal involving their family.

Plus, there’s a charming fella Anna can’t get quite out of her mind :).

Mystery, magic, and a touch of romance—what more could you ask for?
