My Story

I’m Iris Applewood, your friendly neighborhood cozy romance and mystery author, cooking up worlds of wonder from my quaint home in Southern Indiana. I’ve always believed that the boundaries between the mundane and the magical are just waiting to be blurred. And boy howdy, do I love blurring them!

In my spare time, you’ll find me tinkering in the kitchen, where I channel my creativity into concocting delightful dishes and perfumes that could almost pass for potions. When I’m not busy mixing spices or stirring tales, I cherish my sleep. It’s like pressing the reset button on my imagination. Dreamland is often where I stumble upon my next big story idea, so you bet I take my bedtime seriously!

Writing is my way of stitching a little more enchantment into the fabric of our lives. And as you read my stories, I hope you find that magic can bloom in the most unexpected of places. Perhaps even in your own backyard.
